Host A Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Seminar
Thank you for your interest in hosting a seminar with the Gracies. Ever since the development of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu by Grand Master Helio Gracie over 80 years ago, our primary objective has been to share the teachings of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu with all of those who appreciate realistic, simple and unquestionably effective self-defense techniques.
Although we spend the majority of our time training and teaching at the Gracie Jiu-Jitsu World Headquarters in Torrance, California, we are continuously traveling everywhere to help educate as many people as possible. Due to the undeniable success of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu in real fights, many military and law enforcement agencies have incorporated our teachings into their hand-to-hand combat curriculums through the use of our Gracie Combatives(tm) program. Some of the agencies are: CIA, FBI, DEA, Secret Service, Army Rangers, Department of Homeland Security, and countless police departments.
The topics covered during a Gracie Jiu-Jitsu seminar, can be tailored to your specific needs. They are taught in a fun, and highly technical fashion, following the unique methods developed by Grand Master Helio Gracie.
Here is our pricing for a Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Seminar for USA & CANADA
One (1) Seminar = 3 hours
The maximum number of students for one (1) seminar is 50 students
Price Breakdown For Students*
- To take 1 seminar the price is US$100.00 per student (a minimum number of 20 students is required before a second seminar is scheduled)
- To take 2 seminars the price is US$175.00 per student (a minimum number of 20 students is required before a third seminar is scheduled)
- To take 3 seminars the price is US$250.00 per student
- Private Classes before and/or after the seminar are also available for US$170.00/hour.
* Minimum financial requirement for the Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Academy Instructor to hold a Gracie Jiu-Jitsu seminar is US$5,000.00. Pricing is all inclusive (includes cost of training and Gracie Instructor's travel, room and meals).
Host Incentives
- For 51-100 paid (3-hour) seminars (not paid students because one student may purchase more than one 3-hour seminar), the Host receives 30% and the Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Academy receives 70% of gross revenues of all paid seminars from 51-100.
- For 101+ infinite paid (3-hour) seminars (not paid students because one student may purchase more than one 3-hour seminar), the Host receives 50% and the Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Academy receives 50% of gross revenues of all paid seminars from 101+.
Payment Arrangement
- A nonrefundable deposit of US$500.00 is required to secure a date. (The Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Academy will begin promotion of the event on its website and other areas, only after deposit is made).
- Two (2) calander weeks before seminar a nonrefundable payment of US$2,000.00 is required.
- The balance of funds is due at the completion of the final seminar.
- Check payable to " Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Academy " and must be given to Gracie Instructor.

Information for the Host
1. Mat space- 50 square feet per student. (For example, 50 students requires 2,500 square feet of mat space).
2. Attire for training: Kimono/Gi or whatever is decided in advance between Gracie Instructor and Host.
3. No pictures or video taping of training will be allowed, unless permission is given by Gracie Instructor in advance.
4. The Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Academy will assist Host to register as many students as possible by contacting individuals and organizations using its vast available resources (websites, contact database, email, telephone) as well as promotional material.
5. The above mentioned requirements are subject to change and are the "General" guidelines when hosting a seminar. If for whatever reason, any requirements cannot be met or satisfied for any reason, please feel free to contact us as we would be willing to work something out that is feasible for everyone.
