It only makes sense that the world’s most respected and effective martial art would eventually make its way into the National Football League. Since every player in the NFL is heavy, strong, and very coordinated, the only way a player can excel above the others is by increasing their potential beyond their physical attributes. With Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, players will be able to use the principles of leverage and technique to overcome the strength and speed of their opponents and take their game to a whole new level.

What is Gracie Jiu-Jitsu?

Gracie Jiu-Jitsu is a martial arts system that was developed and perfected by the members of the Gracie Family over the last 80 years. The techniques of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu are based entirely on the use of leverage, proper timing and ones ability to use their opponent’s weight and energy against them. In their quest to prove the effectiveness of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu over the last 80 years, members of the Gracie Family have challenged and defeated black belt representatives of virtually every martial art. In 1993, Rorion Gracie created the critically acclaimed pay-per-view television show called “The Ultimate Fighting Championship” in which Royce Gracie (178 lbs) fought and defeated opponents up to 100 lbs heavier than him, proving once again that Gracie Jiu-Jitsu was the most efficient system of self-defense ever developed. In 1994, the United States Army hired the Gracies to develop a military martial arts program that could be taught to the soldiers so the Gracies developed a program called Gracie Combatives based on the most important and effective Gracie Jiu-Jitsu techniques ever developed.

What will Professional Football Players get from the Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Training Camp?

Leverage and Technique: Since most football players rely solely on using their physical strength and speed to their advantage, those who integrate the techniques of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu and the principles of leverage will have an immeasurable advantage over those who don’t.

Base and Control: The techniques of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu are designed to enable the practitioner to maintain their position through the use effective base points as well as give them full control over their opponent at all times during the fight. These same principles can be used by football players to hold their ground and control their opponents with greater ease.

Relaxed Effectiveness: While most people automatically panic in a street fight, Gracie Jiu-Jitsu practitioners learn to remain calm during the chaos which in turn greatly enhances their ability to focus in any stressful situation, on or off the field.

Enhanced Breathing: One common characteristic of all the best conditioned athletes is their ability to breathe effectively at all times. Learning how to stay relaxed and breathe while executing the techniques and strategies of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu will instantly increase any player’s endurance.

Hand and Foot Speed: The Gracie Jiu-Jitsu techniques in this program will greatly enhance the hand and foot speed of any player. The techniques are so efficient that they will enable students to move their bodies quicker and with more precision than ever before.

Conditioning: Comparable to a “human chess match,” Gracie Jiu-Jitsu training is the ultimate physical and mental conditioning program.

Self-Confidence: Any football player who invests in learning Gracie Jiu-Jitsu will experience an immeasurable boost in self-confidence from knowing that if need be, they can choke out any player in the league – regardless of their size.

Essential Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Techniques: Participants learn the most important and effective martial arts techniques ever developed by the Gracie Family.

Position-Specific Techniques: The Gracies use all of their biomechanical knowledge to develop leverage based techniques that will greatly enhance the player’s effectiveness in their specific position on the field.

Sand Hill Speed Training: The Sand Hill is a highly guarded training secret of many professional athletes. Every day will begin with a speed and conditioning workout unlike anything the players have ever seen.
