Parent Feedback from the Gracie Bullyproof Camp

The First Annual Gracie Bullyproof Summer Camp had and incredible turnout with families flying in from all over the world. Here are some letters that were submitted by parents of children who attended.

From Megan O.'s Father:

"Hi guys! Today was Megan's first day of school in first grade. When I went to pick her up, the teacher told me that they did the "What I did for Summer" thing. She told me Megan shared her experience at the Bullyproof Summer Camp at the Gracie Academy. When asked what else did over the summer, she said, "That's all I did." When the teacher asked a second time in disbelief, Megan's response was, "Well, yes, there were other things, but none were as important as going to California and meeting the Gracie Brothers." Awesome! Just wanted to share that with you guys.

From Angelique R.'s Father:

"I just wanted to take a moment to thank you and everyone involved with the Bullyproof Camp. My 6 year old daughter, Angelique enjoyed every minute of it. My fear was that it would be a whole lot of talking from the adults and the kids would spend most of the time sitting on the floor, bored out of their minds. I've seen that happen in many Karate classes. This wasn't like that at all. There was the right mix of talking and activity. While I was expecting the activities to be mostly the Gracie Games from the Bullyproof DVD set I was pleasantly surprised to see so much actual jiu jitsu instruction taking place. Although I've been training BJJ for many years, I was even able to pick up quite a few bits of information here and there just from watching.

Most of all I appreciate the enthusiasm everyone involved had for what they were doing. All of the instructors looked like they wanted to be there and that translated into the kids wanting to be there too. The sleepover on the final night was a fine addition as well. Since my wife and I are from NYC this gave us a chance to leave our daughter with people we trusted while we enjoyed a grown folk's night on the Sunset Strip. This was my first visit to the Gracie Academy and I was glad to see that the vibe I had gotten from watching the vids turned out to be a correct assessment of what it would be like for my daughter at the academy.
