The Final Chapter of BBS1
The seventh and final chapter of the Blue Belt Stripe 1 Course features 11 comprehensive lessons that will help you sharpen your knowledge of the stand-up fighting aspects of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu. The lessons of this chapter cover the essential Blue Belt Stripe 1 requirement techniques in a wide range of categories, such as: Front Attack Defenses, Rear Attack Defenses, Weapon Defenses (gun, knife, and club), Clinch Strategies, Takedown Strategies and Takedown Defense strategies. You'll also learn the single most important Gracie Jiu-Jitsu technique that didn't make it into the Gracie Combatives course, the "Pisao." This is the uniquely timed front kick that has been used by virtually every member of the Gracie Family to keep and close the distance against larger, more athletic opponents.
As always, it is essential that you complete the lessons in the prescribed sequence or else you will have difficulty executing the Rapid Mastery Drills and the Focus Sparring Exercises featured at the end of each lesson. Once you complete all eleven lessons, it is highly recommended that you start over and cycle through them at least two more times before you think about starting to prepare for the BBS1 test.
