Gracie Instructor Class of 2012

August 3, 2012

Congrats to the ICP Graduates

Twice a year, the Gracie Academy hosts the ICP (Instructor Certification Program) live evaluation in Torrance, California for dedicated Gracie Jiu-Jitsu practitioners who wish to learn how to teach jiu-jitsu the Gracie way. In order to qualify to attend the ICP, each candidate must dedicate hundreds of hours to learning the Gracie Combatives techniques, and only once they demonstrate exceptional proficiency by passing the Gracie Combatives blue belt test with a score of 90 or greater, are they eligible to apply for entry into the Instructor Certification Program.

Last weekend, on July 28, we had over 30 dedicated practitioners graduate from the ICP Phase 3 Live Evaluation at Gracie Academy headquarters. Equipped with techniques and teaching methodologies of the Gracie Academy, these instructors now qualify to open Certified Training Centers in their regions of the world. Here are some of the cities in which you can expect to see new CTCs in the very near future:
