Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Finally on The Simpsons

November 8, 2012

It only took us 34 years to make it happen!

When Rorion first landed in American with a dream of sharing jiu-jitsu with the world, he had his work cut out for him. After teaching classes out of his garage for 12 years, he opened the Gracie Academy in Torrance, he created the UFC, and he introduced jiu-jitsu to the U.S. Army. Now, he can add one more accomplishment to the list, the art he introduced to the world finally got recognized on an episode of The Simpsons! Only one problem, Artie Ziff hasn't learned Gracie Combatives and the BJJ example they used couldn't have been more ridiculously stereotypical. :)
