Hosting
If your organization is interested in adding the GCMLE to its curriculum, and you believe that other agencies/organizations in your area might also be interested in having their instructors get certified, then we invite you to consider hosting a GCMLE course. We bring the GCMLE course to you with our MTT (Mobile Training Team). It is the exact same course we teach at Gracie Academy Headquarters in Torrance, California. The primary benefit of hosting a GCMLE course is that three (3) instructors from your organization will be allowed to participate in the five-day course for free. In exchange for these free spots for the members of your organization, you will be expected to assist us in two primary ways:
Get the Word Out – The minimal attendance required for a GCMLE course to take place at your facility is 30 "paid" participants. You will be expected to market the program to all the surrounding agencies/organizations in your community. Once participation has been confirmed for 30 participants, the course will be added to the Gracie Academy calendar of events.
Training Facility – As a host, your organization will be expected to provide the training facility. At least 1500 square feet of grappling mats will be needed (50 sq. ft. per person). What is most often used is a basketball gym with grappling/wrestling mats.
