"Dear Rorion,

I really want to send a personal thank you for the wonderful training I, my son, and my husband, recieved on the cruise to Mexico last weekend. I knew the training would be good as, of course all of your jui jitsu is impeccable. What I didn't expect was the highest quality of teaching I have experienced. You and your sons were so detailed in explaining and modeling the moves that very simple moves that have given me trouble for ages suddenly made sense and worked for me (triangle is one for example). The children were incorporated into the class just as everyone else and not seen as lessor in any way. The women's self defense class opened my eyes to thinking of these movements in terms of street fighting rather than competition or rolling with team mates and that was extremely beneficial.

I mentioned on the ship how lovely your boys are. I want to state that again. Teen and kids in their young twenties can be arrogant even when they have no reason to be. Your boys have good reason to be arrogant but were not. They took as much time with this 44 year old lady and my 9 year old son as they did with folks who might end up high level competitors one day. And when I saw them in the evenings when everyone was partying, it was lovely to see how they could have a good time but stay sane and sensible and remember to be respectful and kind to me and others. I have a 20 year old daughter and I know how hard it can be to raise teens to that level of quality. You have done well.

I am proud to call you all teachers - even if it was just a weekend. I hope to attend next year."
